Yes. A lot of engagements start as a few hours of architecture review or a code audit before turning into something bigger. You get a written report, we get a feel for each other, and nobody signs a long-term contract until we're both sure.

It usually does. For fixed-scope projects we write down what's in and what's out before we start, and anything new goes into a short written note with a rough estimate. No sneaky change orders, no "oh that's extra." If we missed something in the original scope, that's on us.

Often. We translate between business outcomes and technical decisions, and we're happy to make calls you don't know how to make — then explain the trade-offs in plain English afterward.
